Tradify is a real Kiwi technology success story – we’re helping more than 15,000 Tradies around the world do way better things thanks to time saved with Tradify. Tradies have rated Tradify one of the top small business apps in Xero’s marketplace, and we’re beating our own growth records every month. We’re proud to be working on innovative ways to help Tradies succeed each and every day.

To help us hit our aggressive growth targets we’re growing our global sales team. We’re looking for an outstanding Auckland-based Inbound Sales Specialist to join the Tradify team. Your number one priority will be to help us grow the Tradify user base every month by acquiring new customers. You’ll do this primarily by following up with hundreds of free trialists each month, helping them get the most out of their trial so they can decide if Tradify’s the right tool for their trade business then migrating them to paid subscriptions. You’ll love sales, be passionate about helping others use world-class tech, be able to clearly communicate the Tradify value proposition and build rapport with a variety of different people. You’ll also have a keen interest in learning, be self-aware and be focused on your own continuous improvement.

We are looking for individuals who can work at a rapid pace and love the challenge of hitting ambitious individual and team targets. You’ll need to be resourceful and creative about how you capture the attention of busy tradies, and be willing to work at least a few evenings each week to call your Australian leads.

You’ll be talking to 40 plus trade businesses a day to get to know their business and help them understand what Tradify can do for them. You will be answering their questions and helping them take control of their business admin. You’ll need to follow established sales processes, plus suggest new ideas to help us improve on our existing processes. We’re working as a team to learn fast and rapidly improve.

If you thrive on variety and challenge, have a passion for sales, have excellent communication skills, love helping people succeed, and you know that having fun and working together are key to a great work environment, you’re gonna fit right in.

In a typical day, you might:

  • Make 40 calls, and talk to more than 30 new trialists to get to know their business, understand their needs, learn what problems they are looking to solve and help them determine whether Tradify is the right job management solution for them.
  • Run live demos, where you dive into Tradify and show trialists how they can use the system in their own business.
  • Answer phone calls, emails and texts from trialists - help them with any issues or questions and help them see how Tradify can help their business.
  • Jump into a sales meeting to review your own and the team’s weekly and month to date numbers and discuss any challenges and opportunities - how to handle them and what we can do to improve across the team.

You’re going to love this job if you:

  • Have ideally had some experience in a sales role and the talent and desire to exceed your targets
  • Can relate well to a variety of people.
  • Love to find ways to make technology understandable and relatable. Many of the people you’ll be talking to are great at what they do but are not familiar with software like Tradify.
  • Are highly organised and have great attention to detail - you’ll need to follow established sales processes and juggle lots of different tasks. Time management will be critical to your success.
  • Have “the gift of the gab” – you have excellent written and verbal communications skills, as you'll be chatting with customers and trialists all day via phone, email, and SMS.
  • Thrive in a collaborative team environment where everyone is friendly, smart and driven.
  • Are resourceful - you’ll need to figure out the best way to get each trialist over the line.

We’re a team of over 36 friendly & diverse people who work and play hard. You’ll report to the Director of Global Sales but beyond that you’ll be working across a flat team where everyone shares in the same purpose and pitches in as needed.

For the right candidate, we offer competitive remuneration with monthly bonuses, spacious office with parking, a mac and other tools you need, plus a fun working-environment with monthly team lunches and Down Tools Days (ask about this).
